Geert van Doorn, CEO of Cullinan Transport
Cape Town Head Office
Hylton Ross Tours was established in 1980 and has been operating for 35 years. In 2008, we became part of Cullinan Holdings which is listed on the JSE. Our services include scheduled and private guided day tours and safaris, coach charters, transfers and a shuttle service between ORTIA and Sun City.
We operate over 60 full day and half day scheduled tours and private tours. We also offer a 4 day Garden Route tour which includes all accommodation, meals and sightseeing excursions. We have an exciting 2-night safari, Journey Through Kruger, where clients have a choice of accommodation in tents or rondavels. It includes 2 dinners, 2 brunches, and game drives in open safari vehicles.
We have 7 offices around South Africa in close proximity to major tourist attractions. We currently operate a fleet of almost 300 vehicles from 7-seat minibuses to 52-seat luxury coaches. We have 10-seat open safari game viewing vehicles in Hazyview, Malalane, Hluhluwe and St Lucia, and 6-seater Toyota Fortuner’s in Hazyview only.
The average age of our fleet is less than 3 years. We currently contract and employ over 500 staff members. We have transported Royalty, Presidents and VIP clients on our vehicles – but to us every passenger is important. Our state-of-the-art premises allow us to maintain our fleet to international standards and our workshops are accredited by Toyota, Mercedes Benz and Scania.
Our Passenger and Public Liability Insurance is R200 million. Our drivers are regularly trained at a National Driver’s Training Institution to ensure they continuously improve their driving skills.
We take our carbon footprint seriously and are committed to responsible tourism. Our offices were built to be as eco-friendly and energy-efficient as possible, while we recycle as much as we can.
Our offices never close, so we are there for you 24/7/365, and we hope to transport your clients soon!
